Social Anxiety UK was set up in 2013 with the aim of preventing and treating social anxiety disorder in the UK. Social Anxiety UK seeks to achieve this aim through the following objectives:

Prevention

  • Promote awareness of disorder to parents, teachers and young people.
  • Guide young sufferers to early treatment.
  • Provide supportive information to parents, teachers and young people to prevent the disorder developing.
  • Lobby government on issues relating to social anxiety disorder.

Treatment

  • Provide advice on the best treatments available.
  • Give hope to sufferers through testimonials of those who have recovered.
  • Provided sufferers with the latest information about advances in Social Anxiety research.
